Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Cartridge ONLY Are you looking to adopt a pet but lack the time or space to take care of a real one? Then you may find DOGZ to be of interest. Part of the small but popular virtual pet genre, DOGZ lets you adopt a dog from one of three breeds: Chihuahua, Scottie, or mutt. You can play with the pet first to decide if it's right for you. Once you've adopted the little gal or fella, it's up to you to take care of it: feed it, groom it, and play with it regularly if you want it to grow up to be a well-adjusted adult. If you mistreat your dog, though, your little pet will take off! Eventually, new breeds of dogs and new special toys will become available for you, depending on how well you do. You can even trade toys and breeds of dogs with your friends via the infrared link.

5 out of 5 stars dogs rock. do these dogs?   September 11, 2004

OK, i don't have dogs, so i really want the gameboy version!!! I wish i had a PC, but i have a mac, so i can't get the computer petz games. that stinks, because in the computer version lets you breed your dogz and the gameboy version doesn't. *Boo hoo* well, the gameboy version will be a start. it seems fun enough to keep me playing it for hours. I'm the type of gameboy player that likes creative games like the sims....and escpecially naming things nice things and wierd things. That's all on here...and i can't wait till i get it!!!!!

This game was fun at first, but then it got kind of boring... nothing ever changes... really boring once you've played the Dogz computer game. (I have the Dogz 3 PC game.) If you don't have it, DON'T GET IT!!!!! Get one of the Dogz computer games instead!!!

It's agood game if your 4 and under but as the child gets older I'd suggest you get the computer games like petz 3 petz 4 and petz 5! Petz one is boring and petz two is like the same exact thing just diffrent tiles so if you have a child 4and under I say get because it teaches a child to react to a animal game but if your like 8 to whatever age DON't BUY IT!!!!!

1 out of 5 stars Not Worth It   July 26, 2002

I recieved a certifiacate from my aunt for christmas for amazon.com. I immediatly purchased this game. I was so excited i turned it on to find that it was a waste of money! In this game: you can buy a dog and he immediately throw it onto the street. Then when you go back to the purchasing place to buy another there will be a new kind of dog.I wanted to know what the knew one was like- it was exactly like the old one except it was a different color. This was very dissapointing because you could change the color yourself! Plus- there was nothing to do with the dog after you buy it except feed it! This game is like those toys that they used to make where an animal hatched out of an egg and you play with it. PLEASE- don't waste your money on this game you won't use it and you'll be bored after 10 minutes!
