The cooler that i ordered was supposed to draw power from an AC adapter that plugs into a wall outlet. What i actually got was a cooler that just sucks power from my xbox and has no AC adapter at all. it gets its power from the xbox causing it to overheat even more. The product was advertised differently than the actual thing i got. Has anyone bought this and received a cooler that has an AC adapter with it?

1 out of 5 stars It works well...at first, but after a month or less....MEH!!!!!   July 18, 2010

I bought two of these things already and both them kicked the bucket. After the first couple of weeks one fan stops spinning then maybe a month or two of continue use the next (middle fan) will stop working WTF?! does intec think people have money to throw away? If you value your dollars, do not buy this product, hell any intec cooling fans for that matter.

We were constantly getting 2 lights (red-ring-of-death)
The system would shut down. After 6 months of warranty service, we
were finally told that 2 lights mean an overheat problem. We
purchased this fan. All our problems are solved.
We have not had down-time at all. Saves on the life of the
console.

I don't know what happened. I bought this to replace my Intercooler EX, which was drawing power from my console and keeping it from functioning properly. This one has it's own power supply, there for it shouldn't mess up your console. That theory seemed pretty sound to me.

And yet, it doesn't work.

For the first two weeks I had it, it worked perfectly. It kept my 360 nice and cool, alowing me to play it for as long as I wanted. Then, after those first two weeks of perfect performance, it broke down on me. I don't know what happened: It just started going haywire on me, making a loud buzzing noize, and it started to get really hot. Even though it wasn't using the consoles power cord, it somehow managed to mess it ip, as my console wouldn't start up properly until I removed it.

Be careful about buying this product. I'm not sure what went wrong, but my advice would be to simply avoid snap-on coolers altogether. Right now I'm using to big fans on either side of my 360 to keep it cool, which seems to work well enough combined with a well-ventilated, open area.
