This thing is hardly visible, my brother didn't even notice it on the DS lite until I told him i had a protector on it, and THEN he looked closely and found it. It has defiantly protected the system from my finger smudges, After one week on this, I was able to clean it and was amazed how much dirt I left (I am a clean person mind you). I never dropped the DS so i dont know who it fares protecting but it seems moderately hardy I think it will do a fair job. Great for its price too!

I really liked this protector I got for my kids. Its lightweight, pretty durable and I like the fact that you can still see the color of the DS (I have 3 kids with 3 different colors so its important). The kids have dropped the DS with the protector on and the game still works so Im happy and the kids love the decal on it. The downside is that if they drop the DS right on the corner of the protector, there is a hinge that allows it to open and close. One of them has broken off after it fell on the hinge and now the top of the protector is taped to the DS - not a good look. Im glad I had it though, it could have been the DS that was broken and not the protector.

This plastic cover (protector) is great for the boys DS lites. My 3 yr old has dropped his and I think that it helps protect it from minimal abuse and scratches. I like this product.

This little case takes hit after hit, but in the year or so I've had it, it's yet to crack or even scratch badly. It's kept my DS safe and secure. The dusky grey color, I've found, adds a nice look to my dark blue DS, and I have no trouble hitting keys, plugging in cords, or moving hinges. I play my DS as though there's no case in the way. Be careful putting it on, though; it can snap easily before it's on. I've read that taking the case off the DS can be just as delicate, but I've never had a reason to take it off.

This is a nice protector for our DS. Son loved it!! Great for his young age! Really enjoyed the Mario theme!!! Only thing you might be concerned with is its bulkyness, but that worked perfect for us because it didn't break after being dropped, so it serves well as a protector!!! Would recommend to ages 6 and under!!
