| Customer Reviews: Great For Panda Lovers December 27, 2009 Elaine 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm 17 years old and I adore this game. I'm biased because I already adore panda so this is my objective view: The game is very slow and probably insanely boring for anyone over 11+ years. You teach your panda to do certain things and it gains skills. There doesn't seem to be any real objective to the game but it's amusing nonetheless.
Do you like dressing pandas up in silly costumes? How about having panda friends that fart flowers when you rub their belly?! December 8, 2009 D. Chapman (Northern US) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My boyfriend bought this for me due to my love for the panda. It is in the same vein as the sims animals games. The game allows you to customize the pandas indoor and outdoor environment; purchase food, toys, and accessories with a daily allowance; and even touch your panda (poke, pat, push, and move their cute little limbs while they sleep). The game also keeps track of the days and time you spent with your panda. Let's say you turn the game on at 5:00pm, it will also be 5:00pm in your pandas world too. Also you are given daily facts about pandas.
It's a one player game and you can only have one game saved at a time. When it comes to game play, it's extremely easy which makes it a good game for all ages to grasp.
On the fun factor it kind of fails. There is only so long you can play it before you run out of things to do. It the kind of game you pick up and play for 5 minutes a day. It doesn't have much replay value ether as you can't really lose or win the game...because there is no real game to it.
The graphics are pretty good for a DS game and the settings are nice.
The game also comes with a documentary called "Secrets of the Wild Panda". I have yet to watch it so I can't say too much about this.
Overall I think it's an extremely cute game. It great for kids (especially with their short attention spans) and it educational in short doses. If you really love pandas, it's a nice novelty too. I'm giving it a four because it is just so darn cute.
My Daughter and I love it! March 5, 2009 J. Taylor (lynn haven, fl) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It is almost as much fun for me (42) as it is for my daughter (8). I know that sounds lame for someone as old as I am, but the fact is I've grown attached to these pandas! This game is great for animal lovers who enjoy nurturing, decorating, dressing, and washing pandas. From a "mom" point of view, it is helpful with teaching younger children about money and budgeting. For example, if you spend all of your allowance on a new "elegant bed" for your panda house, you may run out of money for bamboo shoots! These pandas are hungry! To me, although not as complicated, this game is more fun and endearing than the other animal reality games my children own. The panda dvd, which is included, is a little dry, but informative. I just want one of my own so I can have my own panda family. Santa, are you listening?
