Disappointed March 19, 2010 Sheree Hardy (USA) I initially bought this game because I am a big fan of the Sims. Being in my late 30's, I have a big collection of Gameboy, pc, and DS games. This game, however, was very different. You spend most of your day in the spa doing the same thing over and over again, which gets boring very quickly. The treatment of the pets, especially using the perfume and the bug repellent are annoying. The apartment is very small and cannot be viewed from various angles. You cannot use items in your apartment the same as you would on other console and pc games. For example, on the others, if you want to use your pc or phone, you get a menu to select what action you would like to do. Creating your Sim is so limited and generic. You cannot do all the fun things with your apartment as you would on the other games like decorating and changing the size of the rooms. You cannot alter your apartment in any way. After playing the game for about 2 days, I was bored with it. It has no excitement and the graphics are poor. I found the game to be a big disappointment and do not recommend it to anyone unless you just want to play a pets game altogether. I am very disappointed with Maxis for not creating a better game.
Sims II apartment pets December 20, 2009 S. Shoup (MO USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It would be a great game for people who love Sims games. For me this game like all other Sims games get a little repetative. But if you are into Sims. This will be a great buy for you.
sims 2 on DS October 14, 2009 Jeffrey B. Sprague (florida, usa) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I find the pet care portion of the game to be to challenging , its a sim game , it shouldn't be so hard to give a pet a bath , they should have just put a button that says give pet a bath geeze
Regretting my purchase!!!! August 7, 2009 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am a ten year old kid, and I recently (with my saved money) bought a Nintendo DS. This is the game I chose to buy with it. Big mistake. Although it is slightly entertaining to design your own apartment (wich is not very fun), it is realy boring when you have to go down to the spa and take care of pets! And it doesn't even work! It may just be that I'm terrible at it, but I do exactly what the little booklet says, and the cats hiss at me! I played Sims 2 before, and apparently it is nothing like the normal Sims 2. When you design your charachter (which is always really fun for me) you have like 5 choices for hair, faces, shirts, and pants. I really regret ever buying this game. The man says that the Sim games for DS are nothing like the Sims game for the PC, but I was so excited about getting my DS I didn't listen. It sounded really fun, but it's really not. If I could go back in time and change what I bought, I would.
I had a few extra dollars to spare so I bought Brain Age 2. :)
