Great game for your Littlest Pet Shop Fan March 16, 2010 Sarah H. Martin (Dallas, GA) My daughter got this for her 5th birthday. She loves everything Littlest Pet Shop, so this was on the top of her birthday wish list. She really loves playing all of the arcade games. Some of them are a bit tough for her, but she is getting better and better. When in the story mode where you have to complete different task, the only negative is that you need to be able to read to know what the animals are saying. Each of the animals will make animal sounds and the screen displays what they say, which is cute. However, for a child in Pre-K that isn't reading yet, she needs a parent or older sibling to help her read everything. She of course doesn't mind, but I would prefer that I don't have to sit there constantly while she is playing. All in all this is an adorable game that any Littlest Pet Shop fan will treasure!
Get the First One instead March 3, 2010 Lavern Ferguson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was very excited for this game, especially since the first one was so great. But this is a very disappointing game. The graphics are great, but the game is terrible. Unlike the first game, the minigames in this are not fun at all, and rather tedious. There's only 1 minigame I actually enjoyed, and even then, it was not as fun as it could have been The 30+ animals in the first one have been cut down to like 10 in this version, which is very disappointing. The controls are atrocious, and it's very hard to control the pet. I did not like running around constantly to grab certain items, as you would have to have certain pets to do certain things, such as getting apples off trees, or digging items up out of the ground. They could instead have been turned into minigames that were actually fun. The dress up option was possibly the worst part of this game. It was way too frustrating, for example, you would attempt to take off a hat your pet was wearing, only for it to stay there. You could even put another hat on your pet, while it was wearing the same hat. It even caused some strange glitches to happen.
However, this game did have one good point. It's a multiplayer game! But even then, the multiplayer still ends up being one of the drawbacks. While walking around the areas, if the second player strays too far away, the game will stop whatever you two are doing just to pull you two together, and that was very annoying. The minigames did not become any more enjoyable with a second player.
Stick with the first and do not get this one.
That's It? January 5, 2010 Julie (Little Rock, AR USA) My 6-year old daughter received Littlest Pet Shop Friends for Christmas. It was highly anticipated, since she loves the first Littlest Pet Shop Wii game. She is a proficient reader (which is a must for this game), so she enjoyed the animal conversations and written instructions. The graphics are cute, the concept is great, and she thoroughly enjoyed the game. However, this game is very linear (go here, play this...then go here, play that) with a singular mission of planning a party.
She completed the game in 6-8 hours, max. She played the same game again with a second sign-in and completed it in about 3 hours. She is completely finished with the game and has no interest in it anymore.
We are pretty disappointed that there wasn't more to this game; she kept asking if there were any more parties should could plan. Not a bad idea...wish the developers of the game would have thought of that!
Great game for little girls between ages 5-8 December 29, 2009 C. Alvarez (Del Valle, TX) I bought this game for my little girl's 8th birthday and she absolutely LOVES it. The game has a whole lot of fun games that the child can choose from and it will keep them busy for hours. Another cute thing about the game is that they get to dress up each pet they adopt with all kinds of accessories. Its like their old WII The Littlest Pet Shop game but with newer pets and different games. So I say this game was well worth my $40 especially when I saw my little girl's eyes light up when she opened up the gift. =)
Fun, Fun, Fun November 6, 2009 Anitra Elmore (Cary, NC) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Littlest Pet Shop Friends for the Wii was a huge hit in our house. My little party planner had a great time getting ready for the "party of the year" with her pet friends. This was one of those games I had to keep telling her she'd been playing too long. And, if you have kids you know that's a major indicator that the game was pretty cool. I like that it's a multi-player game that caused the kids to do some problem solving. There is a lot of reading (as mentioned in the other reviews), so be prepared to read if your child is younger than 2nd grade.
