Product Description Turn every Wii bowling experience into a perfect 300 with the Bowling Ball for Wii. This ultra-realistic accessory, allows you to mimic all the critical motions a `striking' performance requires. This Wii peripheral is the first of its kind to be fashioned after an authentic bowling ball, turning your wii-mote into the optimum performance-enhancing accessory! To operate simply press the release button to open the ball in half, place the Wii remote (even with a Wii Motion Plus adapter, if you have one) inside and close the ball. Compatible with the Once the remote is set inside, plug the three holes with your fingers, as you would a bowling ball. Lastly, make sure to wear the wrist strap securely around your wrist, lock the strap to tighten the hold, preventing the ball from accidently flying out of your hand, and you are ready to bowl virtual strikes like a Pro!

Kids couldn't operate the buttons June 19, 2010 Noname I bought two Wii bowling balls for my son's birthday, because he begged me to bid for them at a charity auction.
The bowling balls came all in one piece. They can be used out of the box or the finger hole sizes can be adjusted with medium and small silicone inserts. It would be a pain to open the ball up to switch Wiimotes or change finger inserts, so I suggest buying one for each player.
Umm, actually the balls didn't work for my kids. They complained the buttons don't work. I tried it once, and the buttons did work at that time; but my son, the Wii expert of the house, said he was having too much trouble operating them, so back they go.
Great game, not so great controller June 1, 2010 Carlos Dragonne Sierra (Mexico) The thing is this. If you have even a tiny idea of how to play real life bowling, you will have a nice amount of problems with this controller. Yes, I know it looks like absolute fun to have your own bowling ball for your Wii, but the thing is that when you are playing, it is just natural wanting to let go the ball and it's just not safe to do that, regardless you can't actually do it because of the button configuration for playing.
On the other hand, the button combination to release de ball actually is confortable with PBA Bowling, but not with any other bowling game, sucha as Wii Sports or Sports Resort. I've yet to try iut with the other 2 bowling games available.
Cool but hard to Use. May 15, 2010 Danielle M. Blackwell (Chicago, IL) I bought this for my boyfriend for X-mas, He is a serious and very good real life bowler. He doesn't really like it saying its not as heavy as a real bowling ball and its hard to use with finger placement. I think he just hates that I can beat him at it. I gave it a try and did way better than I do with just the remote. Our roommate played about the same with it as without it. His kids said it was to hard to use, but that may be because they have little fingers and we never put the grips in it that come with it. I think its fun and adds entertainment to the game. We all laugh a ton when we use it.
The coolest thing ever! April 24, 2010 Steve (Minneapolis, MN USA) When I saw this, I couldn't believe it! What an idea! You really hold it and (almost) throw it just like a real ball. It REALLY helped my game! But... It's not so good for left-handers, like my wife.
Fun for the cost February 18, 2010 Shannon R., Weatherby 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I purchased this for my senior aged father who used to be an avid bowler on many leagues over the years. I bought it for the entertainment value as his favorite game that came with the Wii system is the bowling game. I also purchased a more real life bowling game to go with it.
Pros: It's better than using the Wii remote as it simulates actual bowling.
Cons: It's a pain to take off the plastic sleeve on the Wii remote.
The ball is a lot lighter than an actual bowling ball, but this may not necessarily be a con.
Overall: It is worth the entertainment value for an avid bowler considering the price.
