Avoid overheating August 20, 2010 SmilingLarge It seems to keep the xbox from overheating and freezing up. We bought the intercooler because our xbox is inside our entertainment center, and we were concerned about how hot it was getting.
Short life, loud noise. August 18, 2010 X. Zhang (Sacramento, CA USA) This unit is loud, marking an already loud Xbox 360 even louder. I don't mind the noise if it does the job keeping the Xbox 360 cool, but it failed after 3 hours of Modern Warfare 2.
Once it stop working it blocks Xbox's airflow causing Xbox to rapidly heats up. I had to stop playing and detach this junk. Like other reviewers mentioned, the circuit board of this product is faulty. Prolong use cause the circuit board to malfunction.
TS Intercoolers are the best! July 15, 2010 L. E. R. Bucaro (Central America) Have them for both the PS3 and XBOX 360. They do what they are supposed to. The temp sensor is cool. Just plug it in and let it cool your console when needed. No troubles. I can't spend much time playing games during the week. But during the weekends, I spent a lot of time on gaming, so I better keep my consoles from getting too hot. Too noisy? Come on, it has fans so it has to make noise! but if you connect your console's audio output to a receiver or Home Theater, then is hard to notice. At least I don't notice it at all.
Good July 15, 2010 Joseph A. Johnson Martinez Good but not great. They tend to stay on or start on by themselves when you are not home.
The only best cooling system! July 11, 2010 Goki (New Jersey) I have one of these on a Jasper chip, aren't I really protective? It may be a bit loud, but you can install your games to your HDD. If yours begins to make grinding noises when you boot up the 360, call customer support. I had this problem once, which is why this gets 4 stars.
edit ---
to prevent grinding noise, do NOT touch the inside of the fans out of curiousity. This will loosen up the fans and cause it to grind.
