It was worth a shot, but... March 10, 2010 Chris (TN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read the other reviews, and knew that these might not work, but I thought that we might get enough functionality out of the sabers to be worth the cost in the fun-factor for a 4 year old. Unfortunately, when the sabers were put in place on the Wii remotes, the signal from the remotes for the buttons was blocked. The sabers were cute, and my son loved them, but we purchased them with the intent of him using them for the sword fighting game in Wii Sports Resort (his favorite, and very entertaining for spectators), and even my husband and I were frustrated by the blocked signal. We wound up returning the product. It may work better for the Star Wars game, which is what I believe it was designed for, but for the Wii Sports Resort, it was more trouble than it was worth.
Did not work right February 25, 2010 T. Alexopoulos (New York) I bought these for my nephews for Christmas, but they did not work right with the Wii. The sensor was covered so the Wii did not pick up the sword action. We actually wound up returning them.
Does not work! February 17, 2010 Wiigo (Malaysia) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The blast saber is closed at the end so that the Wii can't "sense" the motions. We have a similar saber from another company which is a 100 times better. Don't buy it!
Wii Light Sabers February 12, 2010 Eileen Jaramillo 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The light sabers are not compatible with Lego Star Wars, even though they were grouped together on the site. The box does not say they are compatible, but the website gave the impression they were.
A little added fun February 10, 2010 DonJanz (Connecticut) A pain to get on and off the controller but it does add a bit of fun to the game. If you have reasonable expectations you'll like them.
